DUBLIN. Coming from a huge metropolitan city, I expected Dublin to also be super busy (being the capital of the Republic of Ireland an all)… However, it was one of the most laid-back chill cities I’ve ever visited. Everyone is friendly…and most importantly, hilarious. That’s the single greatest thing I’ll miss about this city… the super welcoming and good humored natives. (…among other things)
I loved my whole time in Dublin but there was one special night where my friends and I decided to join an Irish pub-crawl (14 clubs/bars/clubs in a single night). I was super opposed to the idea originally but I didn’t want to be a party pooper. Absolutely no regrets. Irish nightlife is life. Can that be my new motto? lol. It was such an unforgettable night, I danced, I laughed, I screamed, and I met cool people from everywhere (London, Dublin, Germany etc.)
We were just about to call it a night when we fell in love with the music from across the street. It was a restaurant/pub with live music. We decided to go inside and grab a table because the music was so chill. We went there to admire the music but somehow, we ended up admiring the cute acoustic singer himself haha (think Niall Horan/Hayden Christensen mix-Irish version). It was so funny because my group was paying so much attention to him, he definitely noticed and he winked. I laughed so hard. Wow what a night.
Happy Saint Patrick’s day! love from Dublin, Ireland ???? the passion and beauty here is mind blowing, the culture is focused on being alive and happy, yet still aware of the past…Dublin is a city full of charm and social buzz, every day’s a celebration but today’s the biggest one of them all. FUNFACT: while 5.5 million pints of Guinness are consumed daily around the world, that number increases to an astounding 13 million today. (That’s like 150 pints per second) ultimately, this place has easily earned the title of being one of my all time favorite European cities. ? CHEERS XX
This is the enigmatic heroine of Dublin, pretty ol’ Molly Malone. We gathered here in a semi-circle singing Cockles & Mussels. haha
Guiness Storehouse in Dublin.
This place is the largest stout export brewery on the globe.
The Guinness storehouse has a Gravity Bar located on their top floor (highest bar in the area) which offers a 360 panoramic view of the whole city of Dublin.
Dublin may have a metropolis and beloved prestige but Galway is a city filled with real Irish Charm. Overhearing the Irish language being spoken at every corner was a thrilling experience.
That’s definitely how you undertake the local vernacular 😉 Take note.
I can’t wait to come back to you Ireland.
Cheers, J x.
